So… yeah. It’s been a busy week at PP Headquarters. And while we here at Combo Smite don’t have any direct lines to the thoughts behind their decisions… we DO have opinions! And a way to get people to listen to those opinions…
Thanks to the releases announced at Smogcon, we have a whole new Faction to talk about!
Well… part of one, at least. Nick and I spend about an hour discussing the new Steamroller Rules coming out for 2017 (what we know, at least), and the new Hordes Faction, the Grymkin (what we know, at least!).
Give it a listen, let us know what ya think!
Hello my fellow Combo Smiters. I would like to take a moment to inform you all about a mini podcast I am planning to start this month; as you might guess, it has to do with strategy! Continue reading
Sorry folks. Marc lost his paying job on Wednesday (it was a stupid temp-job to pay for my writing expenses, so no great loss, but still a bit of an issue) so no podcast.
Nick is back in the country, and we’re all ready excited about upcoming tournaments and events, so expect some more tournament-analysis podcasts in the coming weeks!
Thanks for your patience, see everyone next week!
Ladies and gentlemen, it’s finally happened… not only did the new Skorne errata hit… but it looks good.
Before we get to the audio, just want to share an awesome image a couple listeners (hi MIke!) in Omaha sent us.
I’d be lying if I said I didn’t get happy little shivers from that. Thanks guys!
Anyway, on to the Skorne errata!
More delays this week, so we’re pushing back the next podcast to next week.
Sorry for being so inconsistent, but we’re locking down on some great ideas for upcoming episodes, and we’re all still committed to bringing you guys great content.
Coincidentally, if you haven’t dropped by the Combo Smite Store recently, I’ve added a new line of “#TeamName” shirts. These include #TeamDarrell, #TeamTodd, #TeamNick, and #TeamKassem shirts, all with the great Combo Smite logo on the front and your favourite host on the back! Do check ’em out (they make great winter-festival presents for yourself, or for your friends!).
Thanks folks! Talk to y’all next week!
Marc pulled double night shifts this week, and it’s pushed back the recording of the battle report.
It’s going to be all about Una2 vs Fyanna2… and I, for one, can’t wait to see what happens! Gonna be awesome!
We’re planning to record Tuesday, and I’ll have it edited and posted by Wednesday morning, assuming no more major catastrophes! Thanks for your patience!
Just a head’s up, no podcast this week as Nick and I gird our loins for discussing Skorne with Kassem for all of you.
There will be so many “That’s what she said” comments. You are forewarned.
As many of you know, the Combo Smite team is Canadian. Proudly so.
That means we celebrate Thanksgiving this weekend (instead of November, like the United States), and that means that both Nick and I are in turkey-induced comas (I assume Darrell, Todd, and Kassem are as well, but to be honest they weren’t going to be on the next episode, so that’s okay).
So from all of us here, to all of you out there, thank you for listening, watching, and commenting! We’re going to be doing a full Faction review of Circle for next week, and I’m going to see if we can keep it under 5 hours this time.
Only time will tell.
Hey folks. Life conspired to keep Nick and I from recording this weekend. We should be recording the Legion Faction review this week, though, so you can all look forward to that!
In other news: One of the Team Canadas came in 3rd at the WTC!
We play against (and with!) these guys all the time, so it really feels like a win for us (in a much less direct way than for the guys who actually worked and earned the win!). So congrats again to Chris, Bubba, Tim, David, and Chandler!
