Okay folks, last week for this batch of tournament analysis epsidoes… Saturday we’re all off to the Ontario Team Championships, and then Sunday we’re going to talk about it! I hope!
Until then… why not a little more Kassem, discussing his Skorne tactics for a tournament we had a few weeks back?
Hey guys! Sorry this podcast is up late: Nick and I were up playing D&D in celebration of Aaron’s birthday until 1am (and then I got to drive home for an hour!), and the editing was blah blah blah excuses excuses IT’S DONE NOW.
So a few weeks back we recorded an episode devoted to Darrell’s Menoth tournament pairing.
Since then… the world has changed. A lot of time is spent in the first half discussing “Mad Dogs”, a bit of time on Wurmwood, which, let’s be honest, are no longer an issue. But the rest of the stuff… still significant! Give it a listen, let us know what you think!
Hope everyone is having a great holiday season, and enjoying time spent with family and/or friends! A new errata dropped last week, and Nick and I sat down and talked about all the changes, and how we see the shifting meta… plus how we feel about the shift in PP’s policies towards errata and playtesting!
Let us know what you think!
(Also, a head’s up: we’ve run into the wall for media space on Combo Smite, so Marc is going to have to start deleting old images… the audio will stay, so you can still listen to all of our ancient podcasts, but don’t be surprised if the pretty pictures start disappearing!… and, coincidentally, that’s why our header images are now… different…)
This week we have another set of battle reports for you to check out, fresh off the tournament-circuit… and we recruited the help of one of the Four New Gamers, Rob!
Great event, and for a solid cause… good luck at the WTC, Team Canada! And for our listeners, and opportunity to listen to a bunch of battles and learn some valuable lessons!
For those of you willing and able to support a great group of guys (and awesome players!) head to the WTC, here’s the linky-link to Team Canada’s Indiegogo funding campaign!
Did you guys know that we’re theoretically a Battle Report podcast?! I know, I know… I scarcely believe it myself. And yet, what do we have here?
An entire tournament worth of batreps! And a chance for Combo Smite (Nick, Kassem, Darrell, and I) to prove that we’re not total and complete scrubs?
A big thank you to RJ (from Team Canada) for inviting us down, to Nick and Paul from “CG Realms” in Windsor for hosting the event, and to all the players in the Windsor meta who gave us such a warm welcome and a day full of great gaming!
So last weekend was GenCon, and like many of you out there we were super excited about the new warcasters released at the event (the “grown up” version of the Journeypeople warcasters).
Nick and I couldn’t wait to discuss them… so we didn’t! This is back to our usual 1 hour podcast format. The question on everyone’s mind… which are the best!?
Yet again, Nick and I sat down for 4 hours to discuss a Faction… this time we dragged Darrell and his Menoth loving butt into the ‘cast as well!
Got four hours to listen to a sermon all about the God of Man? I mean, since the alternative is being burned to a crisp, I’d vote “Yes”, but it is your choice after all…
