Tournament Video – Store Wars 2015 – Hobby Kingdom #2

Marc and I were present for the Second tournament in the Store Wars circuit at Hobby Kingdom which also happened to be the last tournament in the Store Wars circuit for 2015.

I set a goal for myself to qualify for the 16 man invitational this year that I have failed to meet.  Unfortunately, life happens and I didn’t make it out for as many events as I’d hoped I would. Marc still has a good chance to make it though. Especially with his impressive 3-1 finish at his event.

Welcome back fan, and mom. Thank you for reading. Playing againts Ret today. I can’t say I’m happy to see them back in our meta after Nick threw them to the curb, but I’m not overly scared either. Any gun line is scary for Cryx ,and Ret, well, they shoot in their sleep. Lucky (or maybe unlucky) for me Todd is playing a melee heavy jack spam.

The Store Wars tournament circuit is continuing in Southern Ontario this winter

I wasn’t able to make it to the tournament this weekend but I asked Marc to video tape some games for me.

Ginger BatRep 002 – Round 2!

Well Nick and I are at it again Circle vs. Legion style.  The last time we clashed, I stole a scenario win with a lucky roll. This time I am using eKrueger, while Nick reached for eThagorosh.  Both of us are practicing our OTC lists, as more practice is never a bad thing.  (Especially when I look back on my last outing with eKrueger.)

Tournament Video – Store Wars 2015 – BKG #1

Last weekend Marc and I made our way down to Black Knight Games in Hamilton, ON for the second event in the 2015 Store Wars circuit.

We both had a great day of gaming Marc went 2-2 and I went 3-1. While we were there I also recorded one game from each round of the event to share with our viewers.
They cut the tournament off at 4 rounds, at which point there were still 3 player who were 4-0.

All in all it was a great day of games. Can’t wait for the next one.

Tournament 006 – Game Summit Masters – Nick’s Adventure with Mercs.

A couple weeks(*) ago Marc and I made our way to Ottawa to compete in our first Master’s event. I’ve been lazy writing it up but finally here are some Batreps!!
(*Marc: It’s been a couple months now, and Nick hasn’t finished this… so I’ve stepped in to give a quick overview of his games from an outsider’s perspective. You’re welcome, Internet. You’re welcome)

I have been playing my Mercenaries for the past few months so it was natural that I would be taking them to this event. I debated my list choices for a while and settled on my 3 favourite Mercs casters, Gorten MACBAIN and Damiano.

Tournament 005 – Meeplemart 50pt. SR – Nick’s Mercs Results

On Saturday Marc and I made the trek into Toronto to attend a 50pt Steamroller event at Meeplemart. Meeple has to be the nicest gaming store I have ever seen. Tons of stock, large play area with comfortable leather chairs and lots of very passable terrain.

I was bringing my Mercs with a couple lists that I am practicing with for the Game Summit Masters tournament that we are attending next week.  The lists I brought were:

Last week I was practicing list for the 50pt Steamroller Tourney at the Game chamber. The battle reports for the tournament have already gone up but I thought I would post this battle report anyway.
